Juan Martínez Pérez aka Elson Complex is a Spanish guitarist and singer-songwriter based in Berne, Switzerland. He co-founded the band BUSINESS FOR LUNCH in the nineties, played concerts and released records. These days, a collector is trying to sell the first vinyl single for the incredible price of CHF 129 at Discogs. I swear, it's not Elson.
After his early music career, Elson worked as a radio journalist, translator and respeaking consultant. Now, he is a musician again. Now, he goes by the name of Elson Complex. He plays acoustic guitar and sings songs in different languages. Elson wants to position himself as an innovative guitarist and singer-songwriter. In his lyrics, he focuses on wordplay and multilingualism.
Elson Complex sings in German about the casual link between climate change and visionary Swedes from the seventies as well as the connection between Weltschmerz and real love . Someone said the seventh track is a sequence of absurd situations that every woman and man have experienced themselves . Elson did not object.
In tracks , and Elson sings the same lyrics in three different languages, English, Italian and French, and plays acoustic guitar in different styles of music. The French source text NE T'EN FAIS PAS POUR MOI is inspired by the novel "Rue des Archives" by French writer Michel del Castillo.
Tracks and are short instrumentals.
